Number 1 (part one)

Well, here is my first blog post.  Just trying to increase my social presence for some reason as you might have come here from knowing my 'works' on youtube, twitter or google+.  So thanks for coming here and viewing this blog and for following me elsewhere.  My aim here is to perhaps look at some of what I am hoarding that is cycling related.

So as this is my first post, the below photo shows five first editions of the major cycling magazines that I have collected over time (mainly in the past ten years thanks to something called the internet - more specifically ebay).  You may recognise some of these, as two of them are still in production, but the others you may not have heard of.

The first of these magazines that I am going to look at is a magazine called 'Coureur', published in the Winter of 1955 (so late 1955).  This edition was the first of four quarterly publications before the magazine went monthly and was then titled Coureur Sporting Cyclist which may be more familiar to some older readers.  I have left the photos with text in at original size so you can read what it was all about nearly 60 years ago.

Just like my youtube site, hopefully my ideas and blog text will improve over time, and it wont be at midnight on a Saturday night where I just want to sleep!  Suggestions and comments from you will be appreciated for the next blog.

On the next installment - something about International Cycle Sport's first edition.
